Interdisciplinary projects play an important role in advancing modern research and innovation, as they enable the integration of expertise from different fields to address complex challenges. Cooperation between departments and faculties contributes to the development of high-quality project proposals that meet international standards.
The International Projects Office places particular emphasis on supporting initiatives that involve representatives from diverse academic disciplines. Such collaboration fosters the creation of effective teams and strengthens the university’s institutional capacity in preparing and implementing grant-funded projects.
Experience of participation in international consortia, particularly within the framework of the Horizon Europe programme, demonstrates that interdisciplinary approaches significantly enhance the competitiveness of project proposals and increase their chances of securing funding.
At the current stage, we are particularly focused on increasing the number of projects (KPI 1, monitored on a quarterly basis) and expanding the number of university units involved in interdisciplinary collaboration (KPI 2).
