RM Roadmap: European project on research management
The CESAER association of universities of science and technology in Europe, of which Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is a member, invites all those interested in the topic of research management to take part in an awareness-raising event that will take place on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 15:00-16:30 (Kyiv time).
The event will focus on the launch of the Knowledge and Community Platform. This tool will be used to organize discussions and contributions from the European community of research managers. The platform will be open to all research managers who wish to contribute to the professionalization of this work. Registration for the event is available via the link: https://earma.org/conferences/rm-roadmap-knowledge-and-community-platform/
This event is part of the RM Roadmap project (full title: “Creating framework conditions for research management to strengthen the European Research Area”). This project is funded under the Horizon Europe programme, having started in September 2022 and expected to run until September 2025. It is coordinated by the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA).
Brief description of the project: “The future of research management in Europe is being mapped by researchers. The EU-funded RM ROADMAP project will establish a pan-European network of research managers, supporting strategic, cross-border partnerships with industry, funding organisations, higher education and research institutions. The ultimate goal of the 36-month project is to enhance access to excellence by identifying and adapting the research management capital base of the EU, including the widening countries. Specifically, the project will create a bottom-up consensus on the future of research management. It will also inform the community about existing training, networking, funding and mobility opportunities.

The project involves the so-called “RM Roadmap Ambassadors” who represent different European countries and support the project, but are not directly engaged in its implementation. The main role of the ambassador is to make sure that information about the project reaches the relevant national research management community. The ambassador should ensure that the national community is actively involved in the project and assist in the onboarding process.
The following members of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine are the RM Roadmap Ambassadors in Ukraine:
