A monthly virtual meeting of the consortium of the Danube S3 Cluster project took place on June 9, 2020, to discuss and find a solution to existing and raising implementation problems.
Participants in the meeting included: the SMRDA representatives, Gilda NICULESCU, Lidia ILIE, Monica MĂGUREANU and Andreea ROGOZEA; Dr. Katrin HOCHBERG, S2i representative; Renata CSABAI, PBN representative; Maja SUSEK, UM representative; Mihajlo NAGY, EKO-SUSTAV representative; Katarina BLICKINGOVA, BEC representative; the IFKA representatives, Eszter TANKA and Zsuzsanna VISZLAY; the INMA representatives, Cornelia MURARU-IONEL and Ana DULGHERU; Tomaz ZADRAVEC, ITC representative; Gabriel VLĂDUT, IPA representative; Milan MARTINOV, FTS representative; Azra JUSUFBEGOVIC, NERDA representative; Nicu VRABIE, MTTN representative; Oleg RUBEL, representative of the Institute of Market Problems and Economic-Ecological Research under the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Angela PIATOVA, representative of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute; Ekaterina Iordanova, BSCSME representative.
The participants in the meeting considered questions concerning the online meeting with MTTN, which is expected to make a decision on their involvement in the project; planned audits regarding the implementation of the project; and preparation of relevant news about the implementation of the project for the following newsletter; among others.
In particular, Renata CSABAI notified the partners that the training material on the Transnational Training Program would be finalized in July, and proposed to change the implementation of the trainings to online, organizing them back to back with brokerage events and two open innovation forums within the framework of pilot initiatives.
Regarding the improvement of cluster access to new markets and synergy with the Danube Innovation Ecosystem, Ekaterina Iordanova stated that BSCSME would try to link the organization of the brokerage event and the open innovation forum to other events at the end of the year in Ruse, while Cornelia MURARU-IONEL said the events in Bucharest were scheduled for November 2020.
Members of the consortium were informed that INMA identified the agro-food clusters, which would be registered on the European Cluster Cooperation Platform.
The 2nd Policy Learning Dialogue is scheduled to take place online (the Zoom app) on June 23, 2020. The partners are supposed to make short presentations on the best practice examples of the results of Interreg projects translated into national/regional policies.
