The main task of the department is to coordinate the activities of "KPI" as a whole and individual departments of the university in international scientific and technical cooperation and participation in international scientific and educational projects, programs.
On 21–23 April, 2016, in NTUU “KPI” will be held the International Forum ‘Chornobyl’s Legacy for the Nuclear Safety of the World’.
This Forum is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy, which will provide an impetus for starting the discussion of a new phase of international cooperation, aimed at joint realization of activities on turning the “Shelter” Object into ecologically safe system.

On March 17, NTUU “KPI” hosted the 2nd Progress Meeting of UKRAINE project team. The members of the consortium discussed the progress in implementation of project tasks, the achieved results and the upcoming milestones. The experts from the European GNSS Agency (GSA) and from the European Comission were present at the meeting and evaluated the overall status of the project. Apart from project results, the team also discussed other oppurtunities and perspectives for application of project achievements. At the end of the meeting GSA and EC experts made the final speech congratulating the team with successful work and expressed their hope for further frutiful and unhampered realization of the project.

On June 12th, 2015 the Workshop on Ovinto Monitoring solution for Dangerous Goods was held at the National Technical University of Ukraine “KPI”. The official languages of the Workshop were English and Ukrainian.
With the view to provide safe transportation of dangerous goods, the European monitoring company OVINTO with the assistance of the European GNSS Agency within the framework of international project “UKRAINE” (Horizon 2020 – GALILEO-3-2014) organized at the premises of NTUU “KPI” a thematic workshop “Dangerous Goods Workshop”. International logistic (transport) companies, Ukrainian companies carrying dangerous goods, regional carriers as well as companies having their own stock for railway transportation, who are interested in cooperation, were invited to take part in the workshop. During the workshop the participants discussed current tendencies in the market of dangerous goods transportation, as well as legal, technical and financial aspects of this issue. The participants saw the presentation of the advanced, innovative and reliable solution for monitoring of dangerous goods transportation. An additional aim of the event was to find a company for pilot testing of this innovative solution for free for 4 years.
