The main task of the department is to coordinate the activities of "KPI" as a whole and individual departments of the university in international scientific and technical cooperation and participation in international scientific and educational projects, programs.
The fourth edition of the UNESCO-Hamdan bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Prize for Outstanding Practice and Performance in Enhancing the Effectiveness of Teachers has opened the call for nominations.
The prize is awarded every two years and it recognizes initiatives that contribute to improving educational practices around the world, with priority given to developing countries and to marginalized and disadvantaged communities.
The Prize of $300 000 will be divided between three winners.
Candidates may be individuals representing institutions or organizations; international or national governmental or non-governmental organizations (NGOs); educational or research institutions and local/national/regional communities.
Deadline for nomination is October 31, 2015

On March 16-17 a Steering Committe Meeting will be organized at the National Technical University of Ukraine ‘Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’ as a part of the FP7 project NoGAP [Knowledge Transfer Community to bridge the gap between research, innovation and business creation].
The overall objective of the project is to strengthen cooperation between the countries of the Eastern Partnership in the field of societal challenge of secure, clean and efficient energy. NoGAP wants to contribute to realizing the innovative potential of SMEs through improved collaboration with researchers and the use and transfer of knowledge from research.
Project partners from Germany, Romania, Slovakia, Belarus, Georgia and Ukraine will evaluate the progress and the outcomes of the project that aims at linking research and innovation.
Current activities include: preparation for 2nd NoGAP Brokerage Event in Frankfurt am Main/ Germany, promoting networking in order to create a bridge between research, innovation and business, improving of competencies and mutual learning.
The FP7 Project NoGAP is looking for novel ideas which could have a strategic and meaningful impact to the energy sector in the EU and the Eastern Partnership region. If you are a researcher an/or an entrepreneur from the European Union or the Eastern Partnership region, you are encouraged to respond to this call.
The Call for Proposals
Online forms are available to generally present your company or institution, and to present the technology you want to offer or which you need to further pursue your idea, which you are invited to fill in at the NoGAP Partnering Platform. The proponents of selected proposals will be invited to present their projects and have face-to-face meetings with potential partners at the NoGAP Brokerage Event taking place in Frankfurt on 16 June 2015.
